Food Waste Composting
In addition to the paper and bottle recycling, our pre-prep food waste is taken to a local composting site.
75% of the existing building structure and exterior shell have been reused. 98% of construction waste has been diverted for recycling and re-use. 20% of the content of the materials used on the projects re from the region. 50% of the wood on the project is from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified forests.
Stop and Charge Up
We have 20 fleet car charging stations on the second floor garage parking and spaces for low emission fuel vehicles scattered throughout the parking garage and lots.
12% of the building electricity comes from a solar panel system on the roof of the casino and the parking garage. Overall the building will use 26% less energy through the use of the solar panels and high efficiency equipment in Flutie's Sports Pub, Slack's Oyster House & Grill and the Food Court Venues.
The building uses 42% less water through the use of high efficiency plumbing fixtures and equipment. The property also has water efficient landscaping with an engineered pond system onsite leading to 55% water use savings with no potable water used.
Green Program Efficiency
Green Seal and Environmental choice are utilized as cleaning, hard-floor and carpet care products, hand soap and disposable janitorial paper products and trash bags.
